Here is the final Creative Perspective Challenge. I’ve enjoyed sharing this with you this year. I’m not sure if I’ll be doing it in 2026. I’m going to take some time off and decide. I’m grateful for all those who followed along and especially to those who participated.
All you have to do is write a poem or flash fiction story and post it on your website. Leave your link in the comments for the post, and I’ll post it with mine next week. If you don’t have a website and want to join in, send it to me, and I’ll post it with the results. More information here. Please read the note at the end.
Here’s the image:

I look forward to seeing the different perspectives! The results will be posted on December 16th. Then, I’ll be going on my break. Happy creating.
NOTE:
- Watch for two not-to-miss posts this week. The first one is on December 10th with some exciting news from Yvette Calleiro. The second post on December 11th, Staci Trolio Cookie Exchange. See what cookies I made and the others on the tour 🙂
- We had some very sad news in our writing community this last weekend with the sudden loss of Joan Hall. She was a good friend to many, including myself, and just released an amazing book, “The Edge of Twilight.” We can keep her close to us with her words and send prayers to her family. I will think of her every time I look at a full moon.

I am devasted with the news of Joan Hall passing away. Such a huge loss to the writing/blogging world. Condolences to her family as they face Christmas without her.
A very huge loss, Darlene. She was well respected. Still processing it and saddened for her family. Xo
So many people loved Joan. She will be missed.❤
A Santa prompt is perfect for the last Creative Perspective Challenge of the year! I’ll get to work!
Yes she was definitely well loved and will be missed, Priscilla.
It felt like the right image for the year. Looking forward to watch you come up with 🙂
I wrote a response to your writing prompt.
I will try to add to my website
Thank you, Sue 🙂 I found your email and appreciate you joining it with your whimsical poem.
I am so sad about Joan. I saw a few blog posts she put out, a few comments on other blogs, and her book launch–thought things were looking up.
It is very sad, Jacqui! I was hoping that too for her. We will all miss her. Xo
I love this image. I hope I can carve out the time to respond this time! I’m looking forward to Yvette’s news AND the cookie exchange. I didn’t participate in the cookie exchange this year. It was something I did every year at Rox Burkey’s house and we lost her in August. That on top of losing Joan is too much for one year. Hugs!!
Thank you, Jan 🙂 I hope you find some time but know how hard it is to find. It is a lot and I can understand why you couldn’t. Sad to lose two wonderful people so close together. Hugs back xo
I didn’t know Joan, but I’m saddened by her loss.
Thank you, Dawn 🙂 Always hard to lose a part of our community. Xo
Love this Christmasy image, Denise! Your mention of the moon reminded me of the series of posts Joan did on different types of moons.
Thanks, Teri 🙂 Seemed to fit the season. I remember that series and loved learning about the full moon names.
How sad about Joan Hall. Her book just came out in November. I love your Santa picture. It is a lot of work to host a challenge and do all the writing you do. Not to mention having a life. LOL Good luck with the decision.
It really was sad about Joan, Marsha. We were lucky to get thst last book, it was her best. Santa called to me…lol It is some extra work but worth it with all the creativity that came from it.
Hi Denise, I am also shocked by Joan’s passing. This is a cute image.
