#TANKATUESDAY WEEKLY #POETRY #CHALLENGE NO. 239 @ColleenChesebro #writingcommunity #EKPHRASTIC #PHOTOPROMPT

Here is Colleen Chesebro’s Tanka Tuesday Weekly Poetry Challenge # 239, Ekphrastic, Photo Prompt. The image was chosen by fellow poet, Cheryl.

I went with the tanka: 5/7/5/7/7.

meteor shower

wisdom streaks silver
across the inky canvas
we seek its knowledge
but worship indifference
a missed opportunity

    1. It is a fantastic picture! I couldn’t wait to get writing. Thank you, Jan, I’m happy you liked it 🙂

    1. Thank you, Balroop. The night does seem like a painting especially when the showers add to it.

    1. Thank you, Staci. There is something special about a night sky, which makes it easy to express.

    1. Thanks, Colleen 🙂 I love working from images and always amazed how differently they are seen by each person.

    1. It is, Jacquie. I think it’s gotten worse since cell phones. We miss so much looking down.

    1. Thank you, Sandra! Yay for creativity and a nice breeze to clear the air but not feed the fires. Sending hugs xo
