Fall Walk on the Magical Trail #magicaltrail #writersworld #nature #writingcommunity #fairies #bears #dragons #bigfoot

I thought we’d take a walk on the Magical Trail today. It’s a beautiful day, everything is still green and lush after getting 1.6 inches of wonderful rain last week. The sky is blue and it’s a warm 85 degrees outside. This trail was a gift to me from my husband. He keeps working on it and adding to new paths and decorations. It is where I find not only the magic in life but my poetry inspiration.

Really, don’t feed him! You’ll never get rid of him or those trolls. They didn’t like my red ornaments in the trees. Beauitful birds, aren’t they?
I love that statue of the young girl and birds. I put that in one of the places that was cleared this last summer. Nothing like a bear reading a book. That is our burn pile that we pass going from the front of the trail to the back one. The rock was done by the grandkids. Behind the fairy is our driveway and nothing like a pumpkin house. I never bother the fairies living there.
Lots of things here. My cute little creature guy, the face, an angel, the wreath between the trees, a lighthouse, and an old kids toy that kept breaking.
Or course there had to be a dolphin somewhere, a dragon, a light up troll, another dragon, an angel, and lighthouse.
This is just off the trail in our front yard. It is my fairy land and two other favorite things, dragons and bears.
Deer antlers found in the forest.
Trail side dining
It was decided I needed steps.
Watch your step!
Now you know where the rabbit really lives…
This used to be a tree before lightening hit it.
Our forest is full of fairies , the real ones don’t like their picture taken.
Someone threw this away…
Where I enter the trail by the main road and our driveway. Love this little elephant but he gets knocked down a lot by the passing bears.
This is where I stop and meditate or write poetry. The grandkids like to have their picture taken here too.
It so pretty after a rain!
This is where we snow sled 🙂
It may be past using but not looking at!

Thanks for taking a walk with me today! May it’s magic inspire you too 🙂

  1. It’s absolutely magical. I can feel the inspiration thousands of miles away. We are so lucky to have this gift of imagination and interpretation. I must visit you on one of my faerie outings. I’ll bring baklava from Turkey!

    1. Thank you, Lynda 🙂 It really is! Imagination has become a bigger gift than I could ever of realized as a child. Yes, do stop by on a faerie outing, they’d love to see you and I know they enjoy baklava 😉

    1. Thanks, Staci 🙂 I Think it will keep him permanently busy, storms make changes he doesn’t like.

  2. Thanks for taking me on your walk, Denise. I think you must have one of the best husbands in the world – I love that he keeps working on your trail. How fun that your forest includes all those fairies and other little finds, though I have to admit my favorite photos were the ones of places to sit and meditate or write. Beautiful.

    1. Glad you could come along on my walk, Diana 🙂 I am lucky when it comes to husbands. He does seem to enjoy hinself with the little finds along the way. I love the very same thing, the places to just be. I find a lot of inspiration there 🙂

      1. My husband has a terrible back, so I can’t get him out there, but maybe I could start with 5 feet of path a day. The steps were especially intriging as we live on a hillside. Hmmm….

    2. Sorry about your husband’s back! I wonder if I’d be able to do it myself too. The stairs were fairly simple or were from my point of view. At least I don’t have to walk where there is cars or stray dogs come at us.

  3. Very whimsical and creative! What’s better than having your own magical trail with stops along the way?

  4. That is so cool, Denise! I loved the walk and seeing everything along the trail. What a magical experience. You have an awesome husband, and an awesome place to commune with nature (and faeries!).

    1. Thank you, Mae 🙂 I’m so happy you joined me on a walk along the trail. It is truly magical on so many levels. I agree he is a pretty awesome guy!

  5. You have such a beautiful trail, Denise!! It definitely gives magical vibes as we “walked” through the pictures. I love being surrounded by nature and this would be the perfect addition to any property. <3 Thank you so much for sharing!

    1. Thanks, Mar! It really is a magical place to walk and glad you could join me. Nothing like nature and being surrounded by all the entertainment along the way.

    1. It is very unusual, which fits me, and fascinating. I want to add in some tree facts along the way for the kids.

    1. I’ve been watching that and have been worried. I hope you stay safe and glad you could take a moment out to relax a bit. Hugs!

  6. What a magically glorious walk, Denise! You are SO blessed. Living in the city, I long for a walking trail with nature such as you have. Thank you for sharing!

    1. Thank you, Jan. I feel very blessed to have this even with the things we have to worry about. Except for water we never have to leave here.

  7. Your fairy garden is beautiful, Denise. Being a townie, you gave me pause when mentioning the frequent bear passings, but I imagine it’s something you grow accustomed to if you live there. I love all the hidden treasures you’ve placed along the way- so cute!

    1. Thank you, Jacquie. It’s hard to see but I’m having fun adding to it. I got used to the bears fairly quickly, having come from city life. We walked on a path a while back that was decorated and we both loved the idea. It is a lot of fun.
