Here is Colleen Chesebro’s Tanka Tuesday Challenge #305. This week we were asked to pick three or more words from a list and create a poem. This random poetry word idea is from Jane Dougherty.
I decided to do a butterfly cinquain 2/4/6/8/2/8/6/4/2 using the list’s three words in bold letters.
HEALING STONE
rainy
dreary sunset
quartz on the window ledge
seizes my imagination
with love
reflective of a world’s desires
a gift from the fairies
brightens the day
magic
Excellent Denise. Sounds like a fun prompt.
Thanks, John 🙂 It was fun and different from using words over images.

Lovely, Denise. I’m not surprise that rose quartz captured your imagination and brightened a rainy day. A lovely response to a fascinating prompt. I also enjoyed your vocal poem. Oh, that gift of more time would be wonderful. <3 <3
Thank you, Diana 🙂 Beauty can brighten any gloomy day. Although I love rainy days. Yes, every day we get is a gift of more time. Xo

Such beauty in quartz and a wonderful contrast to a rainy day.
Thank you, Mark 🙂
I have various shaped crystals in my window… and when the sun shines through there are rainbows everywhere!! A gift indeed.
It is so beautiful when the sun shines through.
Occasionally I’ll have captured a photo of one of those ‘rainbows’ on the wall 🙂
Ah, the healing power of crystals. A good way to perk up a rainy day.
They sure do 🙂
