Here’s week #6 picture prompt for Suzanne Burke’s “Fiction in a Flash Challenge.”
This Haiku is what I came up with for the picture:
Chests rising in rhythm
A sleepy moment captured
Love’s perfection.

I remember that feeling. And the baby smell. Yum.
So much peace cuddling with a sleeping baby. I was thinking of the smell, too. Nothing like it.
This poem is delightful, Denise.
Thank you, Robbie:)
How can you not fall for a guy holding a baby? Love this!
I know, right? Thanks, Jacquie:)
Thanks for this delightful contribution to my challenge, Denise. I love the Haiku.😊
Thanks, Soooz. I appreicate you doing the challenge and you xo
😊
Excellent, Denise.
Thanks, John 🙂
I remember holding Autumn and let her nap on my chest. I also appreciate my son-in-law’s tenderness for both of my granddaughters.
Perfect poem for the prompt, Denise!
Thanks, Miriam:) There is something so soothing holding a baby as they sleep on you isn’t there? I am very appreicative for all the wonderful fathers out there!
Yes, Denise. Especially girls need to look up to their fathers as their “first love.” My son-in-law doesn’t hold back to Autumn. Now Autumn is very brave and adventuresome as a two-and-a-half years old girl. She could do something a little boy would do like racing the balance bike up and down the slopes of the drive ways! It was amazing to watch the video of her.
That’s a blessing, Miriam. What every little girl needs!
Yes, Denise, we never spoil little kids too much!
I love it!
That’s absolutely perfect, Denise!
Thank you, Jan xo
I hear the rhythm of a breath. Beautiful, Denise.
Thanks Rob. I could really feel that picture.
What a sweet moment captured in that photo and your poem, Denise. <3 xo
Thanks, Vashti xo
Yes, that brings back some happy memories. Well done, Denise!
I glad it brought up some good memories, Mark:) There is nothing like the sweet peace of a sleeping baby.
Still loving this.
Hope your muse is whispering on your shoulder.

Nothing quite as special as a dad loving his baby.

xoxo
Happy 4th of July weekend to you, too! We are in a forest hole so will drive to see our display. Can you see them from home? Xo
