Here’s Colleen Chesebro Tanka Tuesday Poetry Challenge #228. This week is the poet’s choice.

I decided to use one of the poems I wrote on the back of a Harley last weekend, along with a picture I took. No pens lost during this process. Here is my Haiga.

    1. Thank you, Staci. Childhood, summer, and cloud watching seem to go together!

    1. A fellow cloud watcher! I agree it’s still fun to find the shape appear in the sky:) Thank you, Karen. Xo

    1. Thank you, Mae! Cloud watching is looking through that inner child’s eyes.

    1. Thank you, Sandra:) It was like we were heading right toward them that day.

    1. Thank you, Jan:) When I think of my summers of youth I think of cloud watching.

    1. Thank you, Marje:) It is such a simple moment but one we all seem to remember.

    1. It’s always fun, Colleen:) So freeing that it makes the creativity flow. Yes, gorgeous clouds that day.

    1. It sure seems we used all cloud gaze as children. I still look up and see if there’s something there 🙂

      1. So do I. Vince and I do it as we drive along – probably shouldn’t while we’re driving, but I think it’s a good mental exercise as long as the shape doesn’t distract you from watching traffic. 🙂

    2. You make a good point about it being a good mental exercise too! It’s hard not to look:)

      1. Exactly. We were driving the other day and Vince saw something in the clouds. It took me a while longer to see. Fortunately I wasn’t driving. 🙂

    1. I do! I think because it immerses me in the world with no walls. Perfect weather. We rode again this weekend, but no poetry this time.

    1. Yes, those days of cloud storytellling from the grass, it holds such magical memories. I still like looking up!

    1. Thank you, Diana:) It was a goregous day for sure! Big fluffy clouds seems to bring out childhood and all our dreams. xo
